Hubby spent a whole afternoon powerwashing the back deck, covered in moss and brown slime. It's incredible how powerful a powerwasher is. We started out with a deck that was faded and dirty and had no life to it. It now looks like we replaced all the boards with new ones!
It still needs a little more work; it needs to be sanded down a bit because of all the splinters the powerwasher caused. And eventually we will seal it or apply a semi-transparent paint to it.
But I'm really digging the fresh look!

Compared to our townhouse, where we had 10 other houses looking down on us and no privacy, our new backyard is our little oasis. We have trees, plants, a deck, sun...what's not to love! Eventually we want to put in a pool, but for now we're enjoying the privacy and quietness back there.
